It's not the Atkins or South Beach diet, but you will find eggs, dairy, and high fat meats like bacon on its "accepted eating" list.

Followers of the Weston Price Diet swear by it, and their worldwide numbers are growing.

Weston Price was a Cleveland dentist who studied the dental health of people from non-industrialized countries.

He found they were much healthier than their "Western" counterparts, thanks to a diet of unprocessed and unpasteurized foods consumed solely in their natural state.

Cara Bergman and her family follow the diet.

"What should we have with our eggs and bacon," Bergman asked her children. She swears the philosophy is making her family healthier.

They eschew processed foods, and consume lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and dishes made with all-natural ingredients.

"It's traditional food, that has been around for thousands if not millions of years," says Bergman. But the diet is heavy in meats, eggs, and lots of saturated fats.

"Lard is healthy. Butter is healthy," Bergman insists.

But that fat, along with any foods she feeds her family must be 100 percent natural.

"All the food we eat in our house is food that comes from a farm or we grow ourselves or that we can get from a farmer's market," Bergman added. And there-in lies the problem for many physicians and nutritionists.
